Governmental Involvement in Aboriginal Self-Determination
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce analyzuje zapojení australského národního státu do sebeurčení domorodců na území jejich předků prostřednictvím narativu o usmíření a nucené asimilaci. Práce argumentuje, že formální přístup ke kontrole usmíření domorodců je v rozporu s nejlepšími zájmy domorodců a zvyšuje jejich znevýhodnění. Zmíněn je také význam této problematiky pro neboriginské australské obyvatelstvo.
Abstract:
This bachelor’s thesis analyses Australian nation-state involvement in Aboriginal self-determination on ancestral lands through the narrative of Reconciliation and forced assimilation. The thesis argues that the formal attitude to control Aboriginal reconciliation contradicts the best interests of Aboriginal people and increases their disadvantage.
