Virtual communities and their electronic roots
Abstract:
Táto práca je historickým popisom vývoja prvotných virtuálnych komunít. Prináša obraz doby v ktorej vznikali a popisuje okolnosti, ktoré boli kľúčové pre ich ďalší vývoj. Zameriava sa pritom najmä a v prvej rade na interakciu medzi strojom a človekom, respektíve ľuďmi, ako i na popis premien, ktoré nové médium prinieslo do ich jednotlivých životov a napokon i do celej spoločnosti.
Abstract:
This work deals with the very beginnings of the early virtual communities. It brings an image of the era, it describes the key events and circumstances that led to the computer revolution, which is nowadays still in progress. The main focus is laid on the interaction of men and machines and on changes the new medium brought to their individual lives and to the society as whole.
