Psychological aspects of teamwork

Abstract:

The subject of the submitted thesis is team work organization and its psychological aspects. The first part of the thesis introduces theoretical basis of team work organization, psychological aspects of teamwork and motivation in general. The second, practical part, deals with research in concrete team of multinational organization from information technology sector. The aim of the thesis is to assess work of the team based on criteria of teamwork and afterwards to examine the relationship between person’s participation in teamwork and his/her motivation to work. Based on research results actions for improvement of team work organization and team member’s motivation are proposed at the end.

Abstract:

Predmetom diplomovej práce je tímová organizácia práce a jej psychologické aspekty. Prvá časť uvádza teoretické východiská tímovej organizácie práce, psychologických aspektov tímovej práce a motivácie všeobecne. Druhá, praktická časť, sa venuje výskumu v konkrétnom tíme nadnárodnej spoločnosti pôsobiacej v oblasti informačných technológií. Cieľom je posúdiť prácu tímu z hľadiska kritérií tímovej práce a následne skúmať vzťah medzi zapojením jednotlivcov do tímovej práce a ich motiváciou k práci. Na základe výsledkov výskumu sú na záver navrhnuté opatrenia pre zlepšenie tímovej organizácie práce a motivácie členov tímu.
