Gender, Faith and marriage in the "long" 19th century - Possibilities of the Catholic normative resources interpretation.

Abstract:

Disertační práce představuje katolické literární prameny jako prameny k dějinám každodennosti. Jako relevatní zdroje bádání byly využity modlitební knihy, periodika pro běžné věřící i klérus, příručky pro zpovědníky a pastorační příručky. Disertační práce se pokouší porozumět měnícím se vztahům a postojům člověka k manželství, víře a církvi a snaží se hledat roli pohlaví (gender) v tomto procesu. Tato část je rozdělena na několik kapitol - výchova dívek, výchova mužů, pastorace snoubenců, pastorace manželství a zpověď. Interpretace je založena na hledání vztahů mezi kněžími a běžnými věřícími.

Abstract:

Dissertation present the Catholic literary sources as sources for everyday life history. Prayer books, layman as well as clergyman magazines, brochures for confessors and pastoral manuals were used as relevant resources for scientific investigation. Dissertation attempts in its main part to understad changing relationships and standpoints of human being towards marriage, faith and church. It tries to search a proper place of gender in this process. This part is divided into the fallowing chapters - girl´s education, man´s education, betrothed pastoral leadership, marriage pastoral care and confession. An interpretation is bassed upon finding relations between priests and laypeople.
