Historické romány, Temný anděl a Pád Cařihradu, od finského spisovatele Miky Waltariho pracují s dobou přibližně tří dekád do roku 1453. Oba romány umožňují jedinečný pohled jak do dějin Byzance, tak i západní Evropy a osmanského Turecka. Zároveň jsou však romány odrazem Waltariho vlastních životních zkušeností. Nuori Johannes and Dark Angel are both historical novels written by Finnish author Mika Waltari. They both are focused on the period of three decades before the year 1453. The novels give us a unique view over the history of Byzantium, Western Europe and also the Ottoman Turkey. At the same time, the novels are a reflection of Waltari’s personal life experience.
