Fiber Structures Made Using Spunbond Technology

Abstract:

Netkané textilie jsou vlákenné struktury vznikající spojením nekonečných vláken různými technikami pojení. K nejčastěji využívaným technologiím výroby netkaných textilií patří především technologie spunbond a meltblown. Produkty z netkaných textilií v současné době představují nepostradatelnou součást našeho každodenního života a tvoří nejrychleji se rozvíjející oblast textilního odvětví. Mezi jejich největší využití patří hygienické potřeby (dětské pleny, vlhčené ubrousky), obalové materiály, geotextilie, vzduchové a kapalinové filtry, jednorázové oděvy doktorů či vybavení operačních sálů ve zdravotnictví. K jedné z nejvíce používaných a stále se rozvíjejících se technologií výroby netkaných textilií patří technologie spunbond. Při tomto způsobu výroby dochází ke zvlákňování přímo z polymeru (především z polypropylenu), kdy výsledné produkty oplývají řadou specifických vlastností, např. zvýšenou pevností v tahu a ne příliš dostatečnými filtračními vlastnostmi. Z tohoto důvodu se netkaná textilie vyrábí kombinací vrstev spunbond/meltblown/spunbond, jejíž vnější vrstva zaručuje pevnost výrobku, zatímco vrstva vnitřní určuje její filtrační vlastnosti modifikovatelné průměrem vláken. Teoretická část předkládané práce popisuje základní materiály použitelné při výrobě netkaných textilií a možné konfigurace průřezů bikomponentních vláken. V praktické části této práce byla pozornost soustředěna na mechanické vlastnosti a jemnost struktury vyrobených netkaných textilií technologií spunbond pro různé materiálové konfigurace bikomponentních vláken při daných procesních podmínkách.

Abstract:

Nonwovens are fiber structures formed by joining of endless filaments by various bonding techniques. The most commonly used nonwoven technologies include especially spunbond and meltblown technology. Products made from nonwovens currently represent an essential part of our everyday life and simultaneously belong to the fastest growing branch in textile industry. The greatest utilization of nonwoven textiles is focused on hygiene needs (baby diapers, wet napkins), packaging materials, geotextiles, air and liquid filters, disposable doctor's clothing or equipment of operating theaters in healthcare. One of the most widely used and still developing technologies of nonwoven production is spunbond technology. During this production, spinning takes place directly from the polymer (especially from polypropylene), when the resulting products reach a range of specific properties, such as increased tensile strength and insufficient filtration properties. For this reason, nonwovens are produced by combination of spunbond/meltblown/spunbond layers, where the outer layer determines product strenght while the inner layer determines filtration properties modifiable by fiber diameters. The theoretical part of the present work describes the basic materials used for the nonwoven production and possible configurations of bicomponent fiber cross-sections. The practical part of this work was focused on mechanical properties and structure softness made by spunbond technology utilizing various material configurations of bicomponent fibers for given processing conditions.
