Bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem herních konzolí, který se datuje do druhé poloviny 20. století. Herní konzole jsou zařízení, která fungují na principu počítače a která jsou určena primárně pro hraní videoher. Práce popisuje primárně vývoj herních konzolí, které byly ve své historii zlomové a dodnes zůstaly na poli herních konzolí významné.
