Development of approaches to the education of gifted students in the Czech Republic over the past 20 years.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje změnám v edukaci nadaných žáků v posledních 20 letech. Podrobněji se zaměřuje na názor učitelů, zda nastal posun ve vzdělávání nadaných. Analyzované jsou názory učitelů, kteří mají zkušenosti s nadanými žáky. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na nadání a inteligenci, od definic přes typologii až k dědičnosti. Také jsou zde uvedeny informace o vzdělávání nadaných žáků. Praktická část diplomové práce je podložena rozhovory s 8 respondenty, kteří vykonávají pedagogickou profesi. Jejich praxe trvá minimálně 20 let a mají zkušenosti s nadanými žáky. Stěžejní část praktické části je zjištění, zda za posledních 20 let nastal posun k lepšímu v přístupu k edukaci nadaných žáků.

Abstract:

This thesis is dedicated to changes in education of talented pupils in last 20 years. More specifically, it is focused on opinion of teachers whether advance has occured in education of talented pupils. The opinions of teachers, who have experience with talented pupils, are analyzed. Theoretical part of thesis is focused on talent and intelligence, from definitions over typology to heredity. There are also information about education of talented pupils. Practical part of this thesis is based on interviews with 12 respondents, who perform pedagogical profession. Their practise takes at least 20 years and they have experience with talented pupils. The pivotal part of practical part is to find out, if there has been an advance towards better access to education of talented pupils.
