The use of Open Source technology composite classes primary school - the case Study

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na řešení počítačové učebny s využitím Open Source technologií (zejména linuxového operačního systému) v malotřídní základní škole. Teoretická východiska jsou orientována především na popsání autorské problematiky a základní orientaci v linuxových distribucích. Tyto východiska jsou následně uplatněna v praktické části, kde je podrobně popsáno konkrétní řešení počítačové učebny. Cíle výzkumné části se snaží vystihnout přijetí nestandardního řešení počítačové učebny všemi uživateli. Také se pokusí zjistit, zda-li je možné toto řešení udržet v delším časovém horizontu a postoj vedení školy a pedagogického sboru

Abstract:

This dissertation focuses on making an IT classroom using Open Source technologies (especially Linux Operating System) in a small class elementary school. Theoretical part puts focus on describing the problematics of these systems and basic orientations in various distributions of Linux. This background is later used in the practical part, where the dissertation goes on to describe the setting of the IT classroom in great detail. The goals of the research part try to find out what the acceptance of non-standard computer environment is by all users. It also tries to find out whether it is possible to keep this setting in a long term use as well as the views of the head of the school and its employees.
