Abstract:

The thesis is a case study based on research on a construction company that is based in NEPAL. The company Adrishya Nirman Sewa Pvt Ltd has been conducting business in Nepal for more than 30 years. The main goal of the thesis was to implement and tailor Prince2 project management methodology in the companies project environment. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part consists of the theoretical overview of PRINCE2 and project management. Relevant theories, concepts, methods, and techniques were captured during this part which would help for the recommendation on tailoring and implementing PRINCE2 in the companies current project environment. The second part of the thesis consists of a case study on the company. Interview with the CEO and questionnaire to the employees of the company gave an overview of the current situation of the company regarding project management. A gap analysis and qualitative analysis were conducted to know the gap in the current project management techniques and PRINCE2 methodology. Based on the recommendation, the gap for PRINCE2 can be fulfilled for the company without any significant changes to the financial and employment situation of the company.
