The Financing of Islamic Terrorist Organizations Al-Qaeda and Islamic State

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Financování islámských teroristických organizací Al-Káida a Islámský stát“ se zabývá financováním teroristických organizací Al-Káida a Islámský stát. Jejím cílem je na základě analýzy finančních toků charakterizovat příjmovou a výdajovou stránku obou skupin, a následně organizace v tomto ohledu porovnat. První část je věnována úvodu do těchto organizací. Jsou v ní představeny ideologie, z kterých organizace vychází, a dále historické události, které s nimi souvisí. Zdroje příjmů, druhy výdajů a způsoby pohybu kapitálu každé skupiny jsou rozkryty ve druhé části. Je tak podána základní charakteristika jejich financování. Následuje komparace portfolia obou skupin. Poslední část se zaměřuje na boj proti financování terorismu a kromě jiného obsahuje výčet zavedených opatření.

Abstract:

The submitted bachelor thesis: “The Financing of Islamic Terrorist Organizations Al-Queda and Islamic State” deals with the financing terrorist organizations Al-Queda and Islamic State. Its aim is to characterize incomes and expenditures sides of both groups based on cash flow analysis, and then to compare organizations in this context. The first part is dedicated to introduction of these organizations. It introduces the ideological base and historical events of both organizations. The sources of incomes, sorts of expenditures and ways of transferring capital in each group are identified in the second part. That gives the characteristic of their financing. The comparison of group´s portfolios follows. The final part is focused on combating terrorist financing and among others include list of implemented measures.
