Database design for a real estate website

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou a vytvořením návrhu databáze pro realitní web, poskytující uživatelům možnost jednoduše prodávat a pronajímat jimi vlastněné (v případě realitních společností spravované) nemovitosti, při dodržení metodiky životního cyklu databáze. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou, v níž se využívají poznatky a definované postupy z teoretické části. První část práce podrobněji popisuje metodiku návrhu – jednotlivé fáze životního cyklu, princip tří architektur a standardizované postupy (např. normalizace). Druhá část identifikuje a analyzuje požadavky, na nichž staví konceptuální a fyzický návrh. Dosaženým výstupem této práce je implementovaný návrh databáze, zohledňující všechny zadavatelské a oborové restrikce, v MySQL. Hlavními přínosy jsou vytvoření datové základny, jež je využívána pro realizaci hlavní aplikace, a demonstrace optimalizované práce s prostorovými objekty v relačních databázích.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis and creation of a database design for the real estate web, giving users the opportunity to simple sell and lease their own (in the case of real estate companies managed) real estates, while respecting the database lifecycle methodology. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and practical part in which the knowledge and defined procedures from the theoretical part are used. The first part of the thesis describes in detail the design methodology – the individual phases of the lifecycle, the principle of three architectures and standardized procedures (for example normalization). The second part identifies and analyzes the requirements on which conceptual and physical design is based. The output of this thesis is an implemented database design, which reflects all conctracting and sectoral restrictions, in MySQL. The main benefits are the creation of a data base that is used to implement the main application, and demonstration of optimized work with spatial objects in relational databases.
