Management of health-promoting nutrition for health professionals

Abstract:

Úvod: Diplomová práce se věnuje problematice managementu výživy podporující zdraví u zdravotnických pracovníků. Zdravotnický pracovník by měl být v oblasti výživy podporující zdraví vzdělaný. Důležitý je postoj zdravotnických pracovníků k výživě podporující zdraví ve vlastním životě a snaha propojit zdravý životní styl s náročnou prací,jakou práce ve zdravotnictví představuje. Cíl práce: Na základě analýzy lidských zdrojů se zaměřením na timing v oblasti stravování zdravotnických pracovníků nalézt efektivní opatření, která mohou přispět ke zlepšení. Metodika: Pro analýzu podmínek stravování zdravotnických pracovníků byla zvolena metoda nestandardizovaného dotazníku. Pro mapování možnosti zajišťování stravování zdravotnickým pracovníkům ve zdravotnickém zařízení zaměstnavatelem byl použit strukturovaný rozhovor. Výsledky: Průzkumu se zúčastnilo celkem 616 respondentů. Přestávku za účelem stravování využije 83 % respondentů. Výsledky odhalily nedostatky v management timingu stravování, respondenti uvádí, že nemohou čerpat přestávky na stravování v předem určený čas a v celém časovém rozsahu (30 minut) a mnohdy nemohou pracoviště opustit, nebo práci přerušit. Závěr: Zaměstnavatelé se v rámci svých možností snaží stravování zaměstnancům zajistit, přesto je v managementu výživy podporující zdraví u zdravotnických pracovníků mnoho nedostatků, vhodná opatření (organizace práce s plánováním přestávek na jídlo a oddech,časový harmonogram jídelny) mohou vést do jisté míry k odstranění nedostatků nebo přispět ke zlepšení současného stavu.

Abstract:

Introduction: Master thesis is adressing the issue of nutrition management supporting the health of medical workers. Medical worker should be educated in the area of nutrition supporting health. Attitude of medical workers towards the nutrition supporting health in own life and the effort to conect the healthy lifestyle with a demanding job such as work in health care is important. The goal of thesis: To find effective measures that contribute to improvement based on the analysis of human resources with the focus on timing in the field of nutrition of medical workers. Methodology: A method of non-standardized questionnare was chosen for the analysis of dietary conditions of medical workers. A structured interview was used to map the possibility of securing the meals for medical workers in the medical facility by a employer. Results: A total of 616 responders took part in the survey. 83% of responders use the break for purpose of meal. The results reveals the insufficiency in the timing management of meal, responders state that they cannot take a meal breaks at a pre-determined time and in the entire time range (30 minutes) and often cannot leave the workplace, or interupt the work. Conclusion: Employers try their bestto provide meals for employees, yet there are many shortcomings in the manegement of nutrition supporting the health of medical workers,suitable measures (organisation of work with the planing of meals breaks and rest breaks,time schedue of dinning room) could leads to romeving of some shortcomings, and contribute to improving of current state.
