Introduction to physics of microcosm

Abstract:

Abstrakt Cílem této disertační práce je vypracovat text, který by mohl být používán studenty středních škol jako alternativní studijní text v jejich studiu fyziky mikrosvěta. K dosažení tohoto cíle byla vybrána jako hlavní následující témata: přímý experimentální důkaz existence molekul/atomů, rovnovážné tepelné záření, fotoelektrický jev, Comptonův jev, objevy elektronu, protonu, neutronu, objev atomového jádra, Bohrův model atomu vodíku, rozšíření Bohrovy teorie o eliptické trajektorie, kvantová čísla, elektronový obal atomu, rentgenová atomová spektra, atomové jádro a radioaktivita. Doplňujícími tématy jsou Avogadrův zákon a hmotnostní spektroskopie. Práce obsahuje také tři podpůrné kapitoly. V nich jsou odvozeny rovnice elipsy a hyperboly v polárních souřadnicích, zaveden vektorový součin, vysvětlena derivace skalárních složek vektoru podle času a odvozeny rovnice trajektorií nabité částice v centrálním poli elektrické síly. Tyto výsledky jsou použity při výkladu Bohrovy teorie rozšířené o eliptické trajektorie a při odvození Rutherfordova vzorce pro rozptyl částic alfa. Tato dvě témata a téma rovnovážné tepelné záření jsou zpracovány na vyšší úrovni, než je obvyklé. Ve výkladu všech témat je preferována přímá logická linie od experimentálních dat přes jejich analýzu k teoretickému popisu a vysvětlení jevu. Obtížné části fyzikálních úvah a matematických výpočtů jsou detailně vysvětlovány. Poslední kapitola obsahuje metodické poznámky a kritickou úvahu o učebnicích pro předmět fyzika mikrosvěta na středních školách.

Abstract:

Dissertation Abstract The aim of this dissertation is to develop a text that could be used by secondary school students as an alternative study text in their studies of the physics of the micro-world. To achieve this goal, the following main topics were selected: the direct experimental proof of the existence of molecules / atoms, equilibrium thermal radiation, the photoelectric phenomenon, the Compton phenomenon ,the discoveries of electron, proton, neutron, the discovery of the atomic nucleus, the Bohr model of the hydrogen atom, the Bohr theory extended on elliptical trajectories, quantum numbers, the electron envelope of the atom, X-ray atomic spectra, the atomic nucleus, and radioactivity. Additional topics are the Avogadro law and mass spectroscopy. The thesis also contains three supporting chapters. In them, the equations of ellipse and hyperbola in polar coordinates are derived, the vector product is introduced, the derivating the scalar components of the vector by time is explained, and the equations of the trajectories of the charged particle moving in the central field of electric attractive and repulsive forces are derived. These results are used in the explanation of the Bohr expanded theory and to derive the Rutherford formula for alpha particle scattering. These two topics and the topic of equilibrium thermal radiation are processed at a higher level than it is usual. In the interpretation of all the topics, the direct logical line from experimental data through their analysis to the theoretical description and explanation of the phenomenon is preferred. Difficult parts of physics considerations and mathematics calculations are explained in detail. The last chapter includes methodical notes and critical consideration on textbooks for the subject of the physics of the micro-world at secondary schools.
