The character of state capitalism in Egypt in time

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je zhodnocení vývoje charakteru státního kapitalismu v Egyptě od vzniku republiky až po současnost včetně výhledu do budoucna. V první kapitole je popsáno akademické vnímání pojmu a jeho tři možné výklady, na jejichž základě je následně vytvořena definice pojmu a zvoleny indikátory pro použití ve druhé kapitole. Pomocí definice a indikátorů je v každé éře sledovaného období následně provedena analýza a srovnání projevů státního kapitalismu, na jejichž základě je jeho charakter v dané éře zhodnocen. V závěru jsou zhodnocení shrnuta.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the development of the character of state capitalism in Egypt since the inception of the republic to the present day, including a future outlook. In the first chapter, the academic perception of the term and its three possible interpretations are described, on the basis of which a definition of the term is constructed and indicators are chosen for use in the second chapter. The definition and indicators are then used to analyze and compare the manifestations of state capitalism in each era of the observed time period, on the basis of which its character is evaluated in the given era. The evaluations are summarized at the end of the thesis.
