Automatic dialog act recognition

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá rozpoznáváním dialogových aktů. Rozpoznávání dialogových aktů a zpracování a pochopení řeči počítačem jsou témata, která mají v dnešní době velký potenciál v mnoha odvětvích lidské činnosti. Základní myšlenkou je zlepšení a zpříjenění komunikace mezi člověkem a počítačem pro většinu uživatelů. Tato práce přináší implementaci dvou stávajících metod a návrh a implementaci tří nových metod společně s deseti atributy založenými na syntaktické informaci. V této práci byl použit klasifikátor nástroje Stanford NER. Tento klasifikátor pracuje se statistickou metodou CRF. Všechny experimenty byly provedeny na českém korpusu s vlakovou tématikou. Navržené metody a atributy přinesly relativní zlepšení o 48% ve srovnání se základním přístupem unigramového modelu. Dokázali jsme, že syntax hraje důležitou roli pro rozpoznávání dialogových aktů.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with dialogue act recognition. Dialogue act recognition and processing and understanding of the speech by the computer are topics, which have a great potential in a lot of branches in human activities today. The basic idea is the improvement and giving more pleasure to the communication between man and the computer for most users. This thesis brings an implementation of two existing methods and a design and an implementation of three new methods together with ten attributes based on the syntactic information. The classi er of the aplication Stanford NER was used in this thesis. This classi er works with the statistic method CRF. All experiments were performed on the Czech corpus with a train topic. The proposed methods and attributes bring an relative improvement of 48% over the baseline approach, unigram model. We achieved that syntax plays an important role for the dialogue act recognition.
