Salome as a femme fatale in the works of Friedrich Götz and Carlos Saura

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce si klade za cíle analyzovat způsob ztvárnění biblického příběhu Salome a Jana Křtitele v inscenaci filmové opery Friedricha Götze Salome (1974) a ve stejnojmenném filmovém tanečním představení Carlose Saury (2002). Obě díla analyzovaná v této práci nabízí poněkud odlišnou interpretaci studovaného motivu. Diplomová práce komparuje obě ztvárnění, identifikuje literární a jiné předlohy, kterými se inspirují, a podrobně analyzuje scénografické prostředky, které napomáhají k vyjádření dějových posunů a umožňují prosadit odlišné interpretace jednotlivých charakterů a vztahů mezi nimi.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyze how the biblical story of Salome and John the Baptist is interpreted in the film opera Salome by Friedrich Götz (1974) and in the self-titled based-on-dance film by Carlos Saura (2002), as both pieces present different grasps of the motifs studied. This thesis compares both adaptations and identifies literary and other works they are based on. Furthermore, an in-depth analysis of scenographic resources in use is offered, expressing clarifications of the plot development, personal motives, as well as the relations between them.
