Competitive factors of chosen ski resorts in Austria

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá faktory konkurenceschopnosti ve vybraných lyžařských střediscích v Rakousku. Hlavním cílem práce je analyzovat dvacet lyžařských středisek na základě stanovených výzkumných otázek. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny pojmy, které souvisí se zimním cestovním ruchem v Rakousku a provozem lyžařského střediska. Dále jsou zde také popsány čtyři faktory konkurenceschopnosti – cena skipasu, význam snowparku, zimní nabídka pro rodiny s dětmi, postoj k životnímu prostředí – a důvod proč byly vybrány. Na základě těchto faktorů bylo stanoveno šest výzkumných otázek, dle kterých je analyzováno dvacet lyžařských středisek v následující praktické části.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with competitive factors of chosen ski resorts in Austria. The main aim of the thesis is to analyze twenty ski resorts based on the research questions. The theoretical part defines key concepts that are connected with tourism in Austria and ski resort operation. Moreover, it describes four competitive factors –ski pass cost, snowpark substance, winter offer for families with children, attitude to the environment – and the reason why they were chosen. Based on these factors, four research questions were made. According to the questions, twenty ski resorts were analyzed in the following practical part.
