The presented diploma thesis studies the toponyms in Mexico in the state of Puebla. Whole thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part explains the definitions and some terms of the science of onomastics and toponymy and its division. Tato diplomová bakalářská práce se primárně zabývá studiem toponym v Mexiku, ve státě Puebla. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část se věnuje především vysvětlení definicí a pojmů z onomastiky a toponymie a jejich dělení. Také je v ní popsána současná lingvistická situace v Mexiku.
