Evaluation and motivation system in a financial institution

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with issue of evaluation and motivational systems in a particular financial institution. It is devided into three chapters. The first part has a theoretical character and it solves the theoretical principles of motivation, the models and theories of motivation. The work goes on to explain the relationship between motivation and performance and it describes the objectives and functions of the motivational and evaluation system, the methods of evaluation and the role of a manager in evaluation. The second part analyses the system of motivation and evaluation applied in the insurance company KOOPERATIVA a.s. VIG and it confronts it with the results of the questionnaire survey, which was used to detect the level of work motivation among employees of the company. The final chapter synthesizes the results of the analytical work and provides concrete recommendations and suggestions for improving motivation and evaluation of employees in the above mentioned insurance company.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa venuje problematike hodnotiaceho a motivačného systému v konkrétnej finančnej inštitúcií. Je rozdelená na tri kapitoly. Prvá kapitola má teoretický charakter a rieši teoretické východiská motivácie, modely a teórie motivácie. Ďalej pokračuje vysvetlením vzťahu medzi motiváciou a výkonom a popisuje ciele a funkcie motivačného a hodnotiaceho systému, spôsoby hodnotenia a úlohu manažéra pri hodnotení. Druhá kapitola analyzuje uplatňovaný motivačný a hodnotiaci systém spoločnosti KOOPERATIVA poisťovňa, a.s. VIG a konfrontuje ho s výsledkami dotazníkového prieskumu, ktorým zisťujeme úroveň pracovnej motivácie u zamestnancov tejto spoločnosti. Záverečná kapitola syntetizuje výsledky analytickej časti práce a prináša konkrétne odporúčania a návrhy na zlepšenie motivácie a hodnotenia zamestnancov v danej poisťovni.
