The picture of Sicily in Conversations in Sicily (by E. Vittorini), in The Day of the Owl (by L. Sciascia) and in The Tailor on Main Street (by G. Bonaviri)

Abstract:

The main topic of this bachelor's thesis is Sicily and its inhabitants. Information is gained from the analysis of three novels: Conversations in Sicily (in Italian Conversazione in Sicilia, written by Elio Vittorini), The Day of the Owl (in Italian Il giorno della Civetta, written by Leonardo Sciascia) and The Tailor on Main Street (in Italian Il Sarto della stradalunga, written by Giuseppe Bonaviri). The thesis focuses on the social environment of Sicily, Sicilian society and interpersonal relationships.

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem této bakalářské práce je Sicílie a její obyvatelé. Je využito poznatků získaných z analýzy tří románů: Sicilské táčky (Conversazione in Sicilia; autorem je Elio Vittorini), Den sovy (Il giorno della civetta; autorem je Leonardo Sciascia) a Krejčí z hlavní ulice (Il sarto della stradalunga; autorem je Giuseppe Bonaviri). Práce se zaměřuje především na sociální prostředí Sicílie, sicilskou společnost a mezilidské vztahy.
