The Legal and Economic Aspects of Waste Management in the Municipality of Olomouc

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou odpadového hospodářství ve statutárním městě Olomouc. Práce má za cíl analyzovat současný stav odpadového hospodářství města z hlediska právních a ekonomických aspektů, jeho zhodnocení a návrh možných změn vedoucích ke zefektivnění odpadového systému. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, kdy v teoretické části je proveden rozbor literárních pramenů zaměřujících se na právo životní prostředí a odpadového hospodářství, jejich historický vývoj a současný stav. V praktické části je provedena samotná analýza odpadového ospodářství města a iniciativ v oblasti nakládání s odpady, jejich produkci, sběru, výkonu agendy místního poplatku, obecně závazných vyhlášek, logistiky odpadů a dalších. Výsledek práce vnáší pohled na aktuální situaci odpadového hospodářství a příležitosti k jeho zlepšení.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issue of waste management in the statutory city of Olomouc. The thesis aims to analyse the current state of waste management in terms of legal and economic aspects, its evaluation and the proposal of possible changes leading to streamlining the waste system. The thesis is divided into two parts, where the theoretical part is an analysis of literary sources focusing on environmental law and waste management, their historical development and current state. In the practical part, the analysis of the city waste management and initiatives in the field of waste management, their production, collection, implementation of the local fee agenda, generally binding regulations, waste logistics and others is performed. The result of the thesis brings a view of the current situation of waste management and opportunities for its improvement.
