Challenge named Vlasta Burian: Problems of Collective Poetics in the Period of Coming of Sound (1930–1932)

Abstract:

Using a combination of historical and analytical research, the work aims to present four important findings. First, how the production context affected the final form and style of the first sound comedies with Vlasta Burian. Second, what creative and production decisions have influenced these films. Third, the position and function of Vlasta Burian (as well as his theatrical plays) in the creative collective, and the comedies themselves. And, in conclusion, what the poetics of the creative collective in the 1930s in these Czech films was.

Abstract:

Pomocou kombinácie historického a analytického výskumu je cieľom práce predstaviť štyri dôležité zistenia. Po prvé, aký mal vplyv produkčný kontext na výslednú formu a štýl prvých zvukových veselohier s Vlastom Burianom. Po druhé, aké rozhodnutia na kreatívnej a produkčnej rovine ovplyvnili tieto snímky. Po tretie, akú pozíciu a funkciu plnil Vlasta Burian (ako aj jeho divadelné predlohy) v kreatívnom kolektíve, a v samotných veselohrách. Na záver, po štvrté, aká bola poetika kreatívneho kolektívu v 30. rokoch v týchto filmoch.
