Competitiveness of selected country in world markets

Anotace:

This thesis analyzes Switzerland's competitiveness in regard to the other countries in the world. The paper provides a comparison in terms of macroeconomic indicators in comparison with the average indicator of the European Union and Germany. These countries were chosen to show the position of a non-EU country in relation to one of the most developed countries of the European Union - Germany. The aim of this work is to analyze the competitiveness of Switzerland on an international scale and to determine the causes of high competitiveness of this country. The main research questions are the following: 1. What are the key indicators of the competitiveness of the country in the world markets? 2. What are the main reasons of high competitiveness of Switzerland in the world markets? 3. How has competitiveness of Switzerland changed in the last five years? The main findings of the thesis is that Switzerland is keeping its high positions in international rating of the countries due to its high economic development, high level of development in IT sphere, in talents acquisition and other indicators.
