Post-divorce situation: Denigration against the non-residental parent and self-esteem

Abstract:

Studie se zabývá vztahem mezi vnímaným popouzením rezidenčního rodiče proti rodiči nerezidenčnímu a sebehodnocením dítěte. Data byla získána formou dotazníkového šetření od 103 adolescentů. K ověření hypotéz byla použita korelace a lineární regrese. Výsledky nepodporují předpoklad, že by sebehodnocení dítěte souviselo s percipovaným popouzením. Lineární regrese neodhalila signifikantní vztah ani tehdy, vzali-li jsme potaz shodnost adolescentova pohlaví s nerezidenčním rodičem či jeho vztah k němu.

Abstract:

This study examinated the relationship between perceived denigration against the non-residental parent and adolescent self-esteem. Self-reported data were collected from 103 adolescents from divorced families. Correlations and linear reggresion were used to verify hypothesis. Results indicated that perceived denigration is not in relationship with adolescent self-esteem. Linear regression didn´t reveal any significance even when controling congruency of sex of adolescent and it´s nonresidantal parent or adolescent feeling of clossenes to nonresidental parent.
