Educational process for blood plasma donors

Abstract:

Téma bakalářské práce rozebírá edukační proces u dárce krevní plazmy. Teoretická část práce se věnuje několika blokům, na něž navazuje empirická část. V teorii jsou postupně rozebírána obecnější témata jako historie krevní transfuze a terapie, krevní plazma a její složky, typologie odběrů krve, na ně navazují specifičtější témata jako proces dárcovství krevní plazmy, oceňování a motivace dárců krevní plazmy a edukace dárců krevní plazmy prostřednictvím didaktických možností zdravotních sester. Primárním cílem praktické části bylo zmapovat průchod prvodárce plazmaferetickým centrem a jeho edukací před, během a po odběru. Práce obsahuje čtyři dílčí cíle – zjistit, zdali dárci znají přípravu před odběrem; zhodnotit, jestli dárci mají dostatečné informace o předlékařském vyšetření; ověřit vědomosti dárců o průběhu procesu přístrojové plazmaferézy a ověřit znalosti týkající se chování dárce po odběru krevní plazmy. Po kvalitativním zhodnocení vstupního/výstupního testu vyplněného dárcem následovala reedukace prvodárců prostřednictvím rozhovoru v individuálních oblastech dárcovství krevní plazmy.

Abstract:

The topic of the bachelor thesis discusses the educational process for blood plasma donors. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to several blocks, which are followed by the empirical part. In the theory, more general topics such as the history of blood transfusion and therapy, blood plasma and its components, and typology of blood donations are discussed in turn, followed by more specific topics such as the process of blood plasma donation, valuation and motivation of blood plasma donors, and education of blood plasma donors through didactic possibilities of nurses. The primary aim of the practical part was to map the passage of the first donor through the plasmapheresis centre and its education before, during and after the collection. The thesis contains four sub-objectives – to determine whether donors are aware of the pre-collection preparation; to assess whether donors have sufficient information about the pre-medical examination; to test donors' knowledge about the process of instrumental plasmapheresis; and to test knowledge regarding donor behaviour after plasma collection. A qualitative assessment of the donor-completed entry/exit test was followed by re-education of first-time donors through an interview in the individual areas of blood plasma donation.
