Analysis of Sentence Structures in Children´s Literature

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá typem větných struktur v dětské literatuře. Cílem této práce je porovnání větných struktur v různých ukázkách literatury určené dětem. Dá se předpokládat, že složitost větných struktur se bude zvyšovat s narůstajícím věkem dětí pro které je dané dílo určeno. Pro účel rozboru byly vybrány dva tituly. Aby byl rozdíl ve větných strukturách výraznější, vybraná díla se liší ve věku dětí pro které jsou určeny. Práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části práce budou popsány základní větné struktury, ty budou doplněny konkrétními příklady z analyzovaných titulů. Teoretická část též obsahuje stručný popis přístupů k osvojení mateřského jazyka. V praktická část je postavena na zpracování dat získaných vlastním rozborem. Oblasti ve kterých se dá očekávat výraznější rozdíl jsou doplněny grafy.

Abstract:

This Bachelor Thesis deals with sentence structures in children?s literature. The objective of this thesis is to compare the sentence structures in different examples of children?s literature. It is predictable that the complexity of sentence structures will increase with the age of the target group of children. There are two titles that were chosen for the purpose of analysis. In order to be able to observe the differences in sentence structure, the selected titles differ in the target age group of children. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, basic sentence structures are described and accompanied by examples from the selected texts. The theoretical part also includes a brief survey of the approaches to first language acquisition. In the practical part concrete data based on my own analysis are provided. Only the features where a more significant difference could be expected are accompanied by graphical representation.
