Abstract:

Konvolút evanjelických postíl z roku 1575 vznikol na Starém Měste pražském v dielni tlačiara Jiřího Melantricha z Aventina a pravdepodobne v roku 1610 došlo k jeho prevazbe. Exemplár pochádza z fondu starých tlačí Muzea Vysočiny v Pelhřimově. Knižná väzba sa dochovala nekompaktná, šitie, najmä v zadnej časti bloku, bolo poškodené. Zadná doska bola oddelená od bloku, kapitáliky ani torzá ich jadier sa nedochovali. Stav usňového pokryvu do veľkej miery korešpondoval so stavom zadnej časti bloku. Kovanie sa dochovalo nekompletné, napriek tomu však v relatívne dobrom stave. Reštaurátorská dokumentácia obsahuje základný popis typológie a poškodenia tejto knihy. Bližšie popisuje postup prevedených reštaurátorských zásahov a zahŕňa taktiež odporúčané podmienky uloženia objektu, zoznam použitých materiálov a chemikálií, textovú, obrazovú a grafickú prílohu. V závere sa nachádza rozsiahla fotodokumentácia stavu diela pred, v priebehu a po reštaurovaní. Nadväzujúc na popis typológie knižnej väzby sú za kapitolu Typologický popis doplnené rozšírené kapitoly pojednávajúce o problematike typografie a grafickej výzdoby.

Abstract:

Omnibus volume of evangelical postils from 1575 originated in Staré Město pražské in a workshop of the printer Jiří Melantrich of Aventine and probably in 1610 it was rebound. The copy originates from the collection of old prints of Muzeum Vysočiny in Pelhřimov. The book binding is preserved noncompact, its sewing, especially in the rear part of the inner book, is damaged. The back cover is separated from the inner book, the headbands or torsos of the headband cores are not preserved. The state of the leather cover largely corresponds with the state of the back part of the inner book. The fittings are preserved incomplete, but nevertheless in a relatively good condition. The restoration documentation provides a basic description of the typology and damage of this book, a further description of performed restoration works and it also includes recommended conditions for storage of the object, a list of used materials and chemicals, text, image and graphics attachments. In conclusion there is an extensive photo documentation of the state of the work before, during and after the restoration. The description of the typology of book binding is followed up with two extended chapters dealing with the issue of typography and graphic embellishment.
