Minimisation of secondary victimisation of child victims of crime

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku sekundární viktimizace u dětských obětí trestných činů, neboť dětské oběti jsou řazeny mezi nejohroženější skupinu a traumatizující zážitky, které si s sebou nesou, jim mohou způsobit následky na celý život. Cílem je analyzovat a zhodnotit postupy a metody, které mohou minimalizovat sekundární viktimizaci u dětské oběti trestného činu. Diplomová práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části jsou specifikovány klíčové pojmy týkající se viktimizace u dětských obětí a popsány metody a postupy práce s dětskou obětí jak ze strany orgánů činných v trestním řízení, tak ze strany neziskových organizací pomáhajících obětem trestných činů. Stěžejní část diplomové práce představuje praktická část obsahující empirický výzkum (rozhovory), jenž mapuje efektivitu současných postupů. Výsledky této práce mají potenciál zlepšit kvalitu podpory a ochrany dětí a zamezení jejich sekundární viktimizace v průběhu trestního řízení. Výzkumná otázka: Jakými metodami a postupy lze co nejvíce minimalizovat sekundární viktimizaci dětské oběti trestného činu?

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the issue of secondary victimization of child victims of crimes, as child victims are among the most vulnerable groups and the traumatizing experiences they carry can have lifelong consequences. The goal is to analyze and evaluate procedures and methods that can minimize secondary victimization in child victims of crime. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part specifies key concepts related to victimization of child victims and describes methods and procedures for working with a child victim from the perspective of criminal justice authorities, as well as non-profit organizations assisting victims of crimes. The core of the thesis is the practical part containing empirical research (interviews), which maps the effectiveness of current procedures. The results of this work have the potential to improve the quality of support and protection for children and prevent their secondary victimization during criminal proceedings.
