Abstract:

Diplomová práca poskytuje prehľad o ochranných prvkoch v troch populárnych a široko používaných formátoch dokumentov. Jedná sa o formáty Portable Document Format (PDF), Open Document Format (ODF) a formáty z prostredia Microsoft Office. V práci je dôraz kladený najmä na mechanizmy, ktoré zabezpečujú dôvernosť dokumentov, a to najčastejšie pomocou rôznych metód šifrovania. Medzi diskutované objekty v práci patria aj mechanizmy zabezpečujúce integritu a autenticitu dokumentu, ako sú napríklad digitálne podpisy a rôzne ochrany proti zápisu. Hlavnú súčasť práce tvorí distribuovaný systém na obnovu prístupových hesiel pre prístup k obsahu dokumentov, ktorý bol navrhnutý a následne implementovaný. Tento systém bol použitý na vyhodnotenie odolnosti uvedených formátov voči útokom hrubou silou.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to provide an overview of protection mechanisms implemented by three popular and widely used document formats – Microsoft Office documents, Portable Document Format (PDF) files, and Open Document Format (ODF) documents. The focus is on mechanisms ensuring document confidentiality by using various encryption methods. Mechanisms providing document integrity and authenticity, like digital signatures and write protection, are also discussed. As part of the thesis a distributed password recovery system was designed and implemented. The system was used to evaluate password brute-force resilience of aforementioned document formats.
