Overcrowding in a selected tourism destination

Abstract:

Overcrowding je možné pozorovat zvláště v mnoha turistických městech, vznikl v návaznosti na vzkvétající městský cestovní ruch a je považován za hlavní problém. Přičemž způsob, jakým návštěvníci pociťují davy ostatních návštěvníků je ve výzkumu městského cestovního ruchu opomíjeným tématem. Overtourism a overcrowding je prezentován v obecné rovině, dále se zaměřením na příčiny, vlivy, příklady, měření a řešení. Bakalářská práce „Overcrowding ve vybrané destinaci cestovního ruchu“, jejíž vybranou destinací se stal Karlův most, je rozdělena na tři části. První část pojednává o cestovním ruchu jako světovém fenoménu a naznačuje teoretická východiska cestovního ruchu, která dávají podklad pro druhou část, ve které je řešen overtourism a overcrowding. Třetí část je částí praktickou, která se věnuje charakteristice cestovního ruchu v Praze, dotazníkovému šetření a z něj následně analyzovaným a vyhodnoceným odpovědím.

Abstract:

Overcrowding can be observed especially in many tourist cities, originated in connection with the flourishing urban tourism and is considered as a major problem. And the way in which visitors feel the crowds of other visitors is a neglected topic in urban tourism research. Overtourism and overcrowding are presented in general with focus on causes, impacts, examples, measurements and solutions. The bachelor thesis „Overcrowding in a selected tourism destination“, whose selected destination became Charles Bridge, is divided into three parts. The first part deals with tourism as a world phenomenon and indicates the theoretical basis of tourism, which provide the basis for the second part, which deals overtourism and overcrowding. The third part is a practical part, which presents the characteristics of tourism in Prague, a questionnaire survey and subsequently analyzed and evaluated answers.
