Alternative Personality Descriptions: A Theoretical and Critical Analysis
Abstract:
Autor hodnotí studie, které na poli alternativních přístupů k popisu osobnosti byly publikovány. Posuzuje možnosti testování astrologických tvrzení za pomoci psychologických metod poznávání osobnosti. Ve zvláštní kapitole se zabývá osobností lidí, kteří jsou náchylní věřit na metafyzické fenomény a věnuje se důvodům, proč lidé v astrologických popisech osobnosti nalézají své osobnostní rysy.
Abstract:
Author reviews studies published on alternative approaches to personality descriptions. He assesses the possibility of testing astrological descriptors against psychological methods of personality assessment. As part of the study he deals with personalities of those who tend to believe in metaphysical phenomena and focuses on why people find their personality traits in astrological descriptions.
