Prosocial Behaviour and Adult Members of Christian Churches

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou prosociálního chování ve vztahu ke křesťanství. Teoretická část práce si klade za cíl vymezit pojmy a definice týkající se prosociálního chování (typologie, teorie a motivace prosociálního chování) a církve Křesťanské sbory s jejími členy a vztah křesťanství k prosociálnímu chování. Empirická část si klade za cíl zjistit, zda mezi prosociálním chováním a křesťanskými hodnotami členů církve KS existuje statistická významnost. Kvantitativní výzkum byl prováděn v náhodně vybraných křesťanských sborech v České republice se 125 respondenty a kontrolní skupinou se 127 respondenty vyznačujících se nízkým indexem křesťanských hodnot. Jednalo se o dotazníkové šetření, během něhož byl použit standardizovaný dotazník Prosocial Tendencies Measure - PTM, vytvořený Carlem a Randallem (2002) a vlastní konstrukce dotazníku křesťanských hodnot. Výsledkem diplomové práce je zjištění neexistence statistické významnosti mezi prosociálním chováním a křesťanskými hodnotami členů církve KS.

Abstract:

The dissertation thesis deals with the topic of prosocial behavior in relation with Christianity. The goals of the theoretical part are to designate terms and definitions related to prosocial behaviour (typology, theory and motivations of prosocial behaviour) and the Christian Churches with their members and the relation between Christianity and prosocial behavior. The practical part has its goal in detecting whether there is a statistical significance between prosocial behavior and the Christian values of the Christian Churches members. The quantitative research took place in randomly chosen Christian Churches in the Czech Republic with 125 respondents and with a control group of 127 respondents demarcating with a low index of Christian values. This was executed with questionnaire surveys using the standardised questionnaire Prosocial Tendencies Measure - PTM, created by Carl Randall (2002) and a self-created questionnaire concerning Christian values. The outcome of the dissertation thesis is the detection of a non-existent statistical significance between prosocial behavior and Christian values of the Christian Churches members.
