Glossary of Terminology: Muay Thai

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the Spanish and Czech terminology creation in the field of Thai boxing. Theoretical part is divided into three chapters. These are devoted to the lexicography and word-formation on a general level. Research part includes Spanish-Czech glossary with 530 terms in the field of Thai boxing. The glossary demonstrates the redundance of the terminology both in sports in general and also in the specific sport field. The final part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis including the commentary that deals with the word-formation and glossary creation.

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá tvořením španělské a české terminologie z oblasti thajského boxu. Teoretická část je rozdělena do tří kapitol, kde se věnujeme v obecné rovině lexikografii, slovotvorbě a podrobněji pak zkoumáme také terminologii. V praktické části jsme vytvořili španělsko-český glosář v rozsahu 530 hesel z oblasti thajského boxu, který dokazuje bohatost terminologie nejen ve sportu, ale také přímo v konkrétním odvětví. Práce je zakončena analýzou a komentářem, který se zabývá problematikou slovotvorby a tvořením daného glosáře.
