History and Present of the City Theatre in Most from the Aspekt of Legal Personality and Founder

Abstract:

Povinnost podporovat kulturu ve městech ze strany územní samosprávy neurčuje žádný zákon. Na druhou stranu si nelze představit, že by některá z volebních stran neměla ve svém volebním programu kapitolu Kultura. Růst provozních nákladů a také nižší zájem občanů o návštěvu kulturních zařízení ( v důsledku rozvoje kabelové televize, domácích kin atd.) vedl představitele některých obcí k takovým radikálním řešením jako je např. uzavření kina, kulturního domu atd. V řadě případů se nelze divit, neboť tíha veškerých nákladů leží zejména na obci, která musí často řešit jiné závažné problémy. Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na městské divadlo v Mostě a to zejména z pohledu jeho vztahu ke zřizovateli a ke změnám jeho právní formy. Mostecké divadlo patří k nejvýznamnějším kulturním institucím a jeho činnost je nedílnou součástí společenského života nejen v Mostě, ale také v celém regionu. Je dobré, že si tento fakt uvědomují též představitelé územní samosprávy.

Abstract:

The support of culture in towns by the municipal authorities is not marked out by any law. On the other hand we cannot imagine, that any political party does not include the chapter Culture in its election programme. The rise of operating costs and the decrease of interest of citizens in the attendance of cultural facilities ( as the consequence of cableTV and home-cinema expansion) has lead the representatives of some municipalities to radical solutions as for example closing the cinema, culture house etc. In some cases this is quite uderstandable, because the burden of all costs is on the municipality that has to deal with other important issues. The author of this bachelor thesis has focused on the town theatre Most from the point of view of its relationship to its founder and to the changes of its legal form. The Most theatre is one of the most important cultural institutions and its activities are an integral part of the social life not only in Most, but in the whole region. It is good that the representatives of the municipal authorities are aware of that.
