LSD Abuse among Adolescents

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá užívání LSD mezi adolescenty. Teoretická část podrobně rozebírá období adolescence, jeho charakteristiky a potenciální rizika spojená s touto životní fází. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována problematice užívání drog v tomto období a konkrétně specifikům LSD, jehož účinky, rizika a výzkum jsou důkladně zkoumány. Praktická část obsahuje kvalitativní výzkum provedený pomocí polostrukturovaného rozhovoru se čtyřmi respondenty, kteří mají osobní zkušenosti s užíváním LSD. Data jsou zpracována metodou tematické analýzy. Pozornost je věnována tomu, jak zkušenost s LSD ovlivnila životy respondentů. Výzkum se dále zaměřuje na prožitky po užití LSD a důvody jeho užívání. Hlavním cílem práce je pochopit postoj adolescentů k užívání LSD a poskytnout reálný a hlubší vhled do této kontroverzní problematiky. Výsledky výzkumu nastiňují, proč by se primární prevence i výuka učitele psychologie měla věnovat možnostem adolescentova sebepoznání a jak během nich eliminovat fatální důsledky užívání LSD.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis examines the use of LSD among adolescents. The theoretical part analyses in detail the adolescent period, its characteristics and the potential risks associated with this stage of life. Special attention is given to the issue of drug use during this period, with a particular focus on the peculiarities of LSD, its effects, risks, and research, which are thoroughly investigated. The practical part includes qualitative research through semi-structured interviews with four respondents who have personal experience of LSD use. The data are processed using thematic analysis. Attention is given to how the experience of LSD has affected the lives of the respondents. The research also explores the experiences after using LSD and the reasons for its use. The main aim of the thesis is to understand adolescents' attitudes towards LSD use and to provide a realistic and deeper insight into this controversial issue. The results of the research outline why primary prevention and training of psychology teachers should focus on the possibilities of adolescent self-awareness and how to eliminate the fatal consequences of LSD use already during these processes.
