This bachelor thesis deals with the properties, characteristics and uncertainties regarding mainly vitamin A, but also provitamin A and carotenoids from a dietetic perspective. The theoretical part explores vitamin A as an essential nutrient and its physiology in the human body. Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá vlastnosťami, charakterom a najčastejšími nejasnosťami spojenými s najmä vitamínom A, ale aj provitamínom A či karotenoidmi z perspektívy nutričného terapeuta. Teoretická časť sa venuje vitamínu A ako esenciálnej živine a jeho fyziológii v ľudskom tele.
