Physiotherapy of patients with cystic fibrosis

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou onemocnění cystickou fibrózou. V teoretické části práce jsou shrnuty dostupné poznatky vztahující se k etiologii nemoci, patofyziologii, symptomatologii a diagnostice nemoci. Část je také věnována farmakologické léčbě obsahující mimo jiné nové moţnosti farmakoterapie a genové léčby. Praktická část uvádí rehabilitační diagnostiku, metody a postupy fyzioterapie, které jsou součástí komplexní terapie u pacientů s cystickou fibrózou. Praktická část je zakončena konkrétním kazuistickým případem, do jehoţ terapie byly aplikovány tyto metody za účelem ovlivnění a minimalizace symptomů v období akutní exacerbace plicní infekcí.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis concerns to problems of a disease called cystic fibrosis. In theoretical part current information regarding to aetiology, pathophysiology, symptomatology and diagnostic of the disease are summarized. Furthermore, part of the theoretical section is refers to pharmacotherapy which among others involves the newest possibilities of the pharmacological and genetic treatment. Practical part includes rehabilitation diagnostic, methods and possibilities of physiotherapy used in a complex treatment of patients with cystic fibrosis. The practical section ends by particular case report where the methods were applied in order to affect and minimize symptoms during an acute exacerbation by lung infection.
