Training of independence, fine motility and communication in persons with ALS

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou klientů, kteří trpí amyotrofickou laterální sklerózou. Poukazuje na možnosti využití různých ergoterapeutických intervencí. Cílem této práce je seznámit širokou veřejnost s možností využití ergoterapie u tohoto onemocnění. Tato práce se snaží poukázat na důležitou roli ergoterapeuta v péči o osoby s ALS na základě zpracování teoretických a praktických poznatků. Metodika práce je zaměřena na problematiku progresivního neurodegenerativního onemocnění u nemocného. Je zde zpracovaná kazuistika, která se týká této problematiky na základě rozhovoru, pozorování, testování a analýzy dokumentace. Praktická část obsahuje kazuistiku včetně vstupního a výstupního vyšetření klienta, krátkodobého ergoterapeutického plánu, jeho realizace a plánu dlouhodobého.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of clients who suffer from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. It points to the possibilities of using various occupational therapy interventions. The objective of this work is to familiarize the general public with the possibility of using occupational therapy for this disease. This work tries to point out the important role of the occupational therapist in the care of people with ALS based on the processing of theoretical and practical knowledge.Methodology: The work is focused on the issue of progressive neurodegenerative disease in one proband. There is a prepared case study that relates to this issue based on an interview, observation, testing, and analysis of documentation. The practical part contains casuistry including patient's input and output investigation, short-term ergotherapeutical plan, it's realization and long-term plan.
