The application of the bond yield curves

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Využití výnosových křivek dluhopisů“ je analyzovat možnosti využití výnosových křivek. Práce se zabývá rozborem dluhopisů a s nimi spojenými výnosovými křivkami. Jsou popsány principy konstrukce výnosových křivek, obecné teorie vysvětlující jejich typologii a nejčastější tvary výnosových křivek. Další část práce popisuje souvislosti výnosových křivek a chování jednotlivých subjektů finančních trhů a také predikční schopnosti výnosových křivek. Závěr práce obsahuje shrnutí pozorování, zhodnocení a doporučení týkající se praktického využití výnosových křivek.

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis „Application of the bond yield curves“ is to analyze possible use of yield curves. The thesis deals with bonds and with them associated yield curves. It describes the principles of yield curves construction, general theories explaining their typology and the most common shapes of yield curves. The next part describes relationships between yield curves and behavior of subjects that are active on financial markets and predictive ability of yield curves. The final part contains conclusion of the observations, evaluation and recommendations concerning practical use of yield curves.
