Usage of Weapon and coersive means in the conditions of the Police of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá stručnou charakteristikou použití zbraně a donucovacích prostředků s cílem zhodnotit jejich účinnost při služebním zákroku u příslušníků Policie České republiky. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na zákonnou úpravu pro oprávněné použití zbraně a jednotlivých donucovacích prostředků vycházející ze zákona č. 273/2008 Sb., o Policii České republiky, ve znění pozdějších předpisů. Dále vymezuje definici zbraně a donucovacího prostředku podle zákona a povinnosti policisty od jejich použití až po zvláštní omezující podmínky, které se vztahují na určitý okruh osob. Pro praktickou část bylo zvoleno dotazníkové šetření určené respondentům z řad sloužících policistů. Cílem této metody je zhodnotit účinnost donucovacích prostředků a zbraně při služebním zákroku.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate and describe the use of weapons and coercive means and their effectiveness during official intervention by members of the Police of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the legal regulation for the authorized use of weapons and individual coercive means based on Act 273/2008 Coll., on the Police of the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the thesis determines the definition of a weapon and coercive means according to the law on the duty of the police, from their use to special restrictive conditions that apply to a certain group of persons. For the practical part, a questionnaire was chosen, intended for respondents from the ranks of serving police officers. The aim of this method is to evaluate the effectiveness of coercive means and weapons during an official intervention.
