Quality Life of Generation Z in Retirement in the Czech Republic with a Focus on Passive Income in Retirement Age

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá analýzou vývoje důchodového systému v ČR od roku 2000 do roku 2020 a následnou projekcí příštích desetiletí. Práce dále zkoumá dvě investiční alternativy, které by generaci Z zajistily pasivní příjem v penzi. Zkoumané investiční možnosti v této práci představují účastnické fondy doplňkového penzijního spoření a investice do nemovitostí. Práce poskytuje ucelený pohled na důchodový systém ČR a individuální zajištění pasivního příjmu v penzi pomocí investičních alternativ. Úvod teoretické části je věnován historickému vývoji důchodového pojištění, na což navazuje obecné rozdělení penzijních systému. Dále je komplexně popsán důchodový systém ČR. Představeny jsou zde nedávné reformy, aktuální stav a možné budoucí reformy důchodového systému. V této části je také prezentována první investiční alternativa, kterou je doplňkové penzijní spoření. Poslední část je věnována finančnímu zajištění formou investic, přičemž je zde kladen důraz na investice do nemovitostí. Praktická část se v první řadě zabývá analýzou současného stavu důchodového systému ČR, přičemž předmětem zkoumání jsou dva faktory: ekonomický růst a demografický vývoj a následnou projekcí důchodového systému příštích desetiletí. Zejména v důsledku dlouhodobě nepříznivého demografického vývoje a následně negativně ovlivněného hospodaření důchodového systému se dále práce zabývá investičními alternativami, jimiž jsou doplňkové penzijní spoření a investice do nemovitostí, které by v penzi generaci Z zajistily finanční nezávislost či snížily finanční závislost na státu. Tyto typy finančního zajištění na stáří jsou již uplatňovány, proto je zde popsán jejich dosavadní průběh a závěrem jsou stanoveny predikce a doporučení do budoucích let. Přínosem práce je analýza příčin neudržitelnosti důchodového systému, návrh řešení formou zvýšené individuální odpovědnosti a následná analýza investičních alternativ v podobě doplňkového penzijního spoření a investic do nemovitostí.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the analysis of the development of the pension system in the Czech Republic from 2000 to 2020 and the subsequent projection of the coming decades. The thesis further examines two investment alternatives that would provide Generation Z with a passive retirement income. The researched investment possibilities in this thesis are participating funds of supplementary pension savings and real estate investments. The thesis provides a comprehensive view of the pension system of the Czech Republic and passive income in retirement using investment alternatives. The introduction to the theoretical part is devoted to the historical development of pension insurance, which is followed by a general division of pension systems. The pension system of the Czech Republic is also comprehensively described. There are presented recent reforms, the current situation, and possible future reforms of the pension system. This section also presents the first investment alternative, which is supplementary pension savings. The last part is devoted to financial security in the form of investments, with emphasis on real estate investments. The practical part primarily deals with the analysis of the current state of the Czech pension system, and the subject of research are two factors: economic growth and demographic development, and the subsequent projection of the pension system in the coming decades. Especially due to the long-term unfavorable demographic development and the subsequently negatively affected management of the pension system, the thesis also deals with investment alternatives, which are supplementary pension savings and real estate investments that would ensure financial independence or reduce financial dependence on the state for Generation Z in retirement. These types of financial security for old age are already applied, therefore their current course is described here and in the end predictions and recommendations for future years are set. The contribution of the work is the analysis of the causes of unsustainability of the pension system, the proposal of a solution in the form of increased individual responsibility and the subsequent analysis of investment alternatives in the form of supplementary pension savings and real estate investments.
