Legal awareness of high school youth in the area of substance abuse

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je zjištění aktuálních znalostí souvisejících s právním povědomím středoškolské mládeže v oblasti zneužívání návykových látek s možností využití takto získaných informací v rámci preventivních aktivit ve školských zařízeních. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. V části teoretické jsou uvedeny nezbytné informace k objasnění drogové teorie z hlediska historie, základních pojmů a příčin závislosti, včetně účinků a rozdělení jednotlivých návykových látek. Rovněž je v ní popsána protidrogová prevence, včetně zásad efektivní primární prevence a to i ve vztahu zvyšování právního povědomí. Poslední kapitola je věnována drogové legislativě v České republice s odkazem na některé legislativní profily vybraných zemí Evropské unie. Praktická část bakalářské práce se zabývá vyhodnocením kvantitativního průzkumu, který byl realizován formou dotazníkového šetření na středních školách. Obsahuje informace o úrovni právního povědomí adolescentů v oblasti zneužívání návykových látek, jejich postojů k nim, zkušeností a způsob, jakým převážně informace o drogách doposud získali.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to identify current knowledge related to the legal knowlege of young people in secondary schools about substance abuse with the possibility of the use of the information gathered in the prevention activities in school facilities. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part are given the necessary information to clarify the theory in terms of drug history, basic concepts and causes of addiction, including the effects and distribution of addictive substances. The drug prevention is also described, including the principles of effective primary prevention and also in respect of raising the legal awareness. The last chapter is devoted to drug legislation in the Czech Republic with reference to some legislative profiles of selected countries of the European Union. The practical part of the bachelor thesis deals with the quantitative evaluation survey which was conducted by questionnaire survey in secondary schools. It contains information on the level of legal awareness of adolescent pupils in the field of substance abuse, their attitudes to the drugs, experience and how they found out drug-related information so far.
