Process of restriction credit risks in commercial banks

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce Proces omezování úvěrových rizik obchodních bank je analýza současného procesu a opatření k omezení úvěrových rizik. V první části práce je definováno úvěrové riziko a popis jeho omezování cestou vnitřních bankovních postupů při poskytování úvěru. Pozornost je přitom zaměřena na bonitu klienta a zajištění úvěru. Další část práce je zaměřena na vnější regulační pravidla stanovená ČNB. V této části je kladen důraz na klasifikaci pohledávek a koncept kapitálové přiměřenosti. Závěr práce je věnován Nové basilejské dohodě, jejíž koncepce je postavena na lepším a transparentnějším řízení rizik.

Abstract:

The topic of the bachelor’s work Process of Restriction Credit Risks in Commercial Banks is the analysis of current actions and precautions leading to restriction of credit risks. The first part of the work deals with the definition of a credit risk and describes its restrictions by means of inner bank procedures for providing credits. The attention is focused on a client’s credibility and the credit security. The next part of the work describes the external regulatory rules set by the Czech National Bank. The accent is put on classification of debts and a concept of capital adequacy. The conclusion of the work pays attention to The New Basel Capital Accords the conception of which is based on better and more transparent control of risks.
