This thesis examines deposit protection schemes. The first chapter shows the deposit insurance system in Slovakia. Apart from the Deposit Protection Fund, I tried to elucidate system of regulation and banking supervision. Diplomová práca sa zaoberá systémom ochrany vkladov. V prvej kapitole je zobrazený systém poistenia vkladov v Slovenskej republike. Okrem samotného Fondu ochrany vkladov som sa snažila priblížiť systém regulácie a bankového dohľadu.
