Počet zánětů dutiny ústní v poslední době v populaci roste, přičemž dominantním onemocněním je parodontitida. Je způsobena změnou mikrobiláního složení biofilmu v parodontálních kapsách. V této souvislosti byl zjištěn zvýšený výskyt sulfát redukujících bakterií (SRB) v ústní dutině, jako jinak běžné mikrobioty úst. Práce se věnuje popisu diverzity SRB izolovaných z v dutiny ústní. Recently, the number of cases of oral cavity inflammation in the population has been increasing, with periodontitis being the most common disease. It is caused by a change in the microbial composition of the biofilm in the periodontal pockets.
