The image of the woman in the literary work by Carmen Korn

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the image of women in the literary trilogy of Carmen Korn. The individual parts of the trilogy are Daughters of a New Era, The End of an Old Time and The Beginning of a New Era. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the life of the writer, the historical background of the novel trilogy and a brief history of women's emancipation. The practical part of the thesis then deals with the actual analysis of the Carmen Korn trilogy and the comparison of the stories of the novel's characters with the historical events of 20th century West Germany.

Abstract:

Diese Bachelorarbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Frauenbild in der literarischen Trilogie von Carmen Korn. Die einzelnen Teile der Trilogie sind Töchter einer neuen Zeit, Zeiten des Aufbuchs und Zeitwende. Der theoretische Teil der Arbeit befasst sich mit dem Leben der Schriftstellerin, dem historischen Hintergrund der Romantrilogie und einer kurzen Geschichte der Frauenemanzipation. Der praktische Teil der Arbeit befasst sich dann mit der eigentlichen Analyse der Trilogie von Carmen Korn und dem Vergleich der Geschichten der Romanfiguren mit den historischen Ereignissen in Westdeutschland im 20. Jahrhundert.
