The ranking of the Czech Republic in the international competitiveness reports.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá současným postavením ČR ve třech mezinárodních žebříčcích konkurenceschopnosti od IMD, WEF a Světové banky. Jsou nalezeny oblasti s nejhoršími výsledky a největším podílem na celkovém hodnocení. Tyto oblasti jsou následně srovnány s činností současné české vlády. Cíl práce je zjistit, jak současná česká vláda, skrze přijaté zákony a opatření, pomohla ke zlepšení umístění ČR v mezinárodních žebříčcích. Do práce je zahrnut i dlouhodobý vývoj umístění ČR v žebříčcích. Tento vývoj byl do práce zahrnut pro získání lepší orientace a možnosti srovnání současného umístění s historickými výsledky. Na konci práce je provedeno zhodnocení a jsou vypsány klíčové oblasti, kterým se vláda nevěnovala dostatečně. Dále jsou uvedena doporučení a návrhy, jaká konkrétní opatření by vláda měla v nejbližší době přijmout.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the current ranking of the Czech Republic in the three international competitiveness reports from IMD, WEF and The World Bank. The areas with the worst results and the highest share in the overall ranking are found. These areas are then compared with the current activities of the Czech government. The aim of this thesis is to find out how the current Czech government, by adopting laws and measures, helped to improve the Czech Republic's ranking in these international reports. The work also includes the long-term development of the Czech Republic's ranking in the charts. This development has been included in this work to get a better orientation and the ability to compare the current ranking with the historical results. At the end of this thesis an assessment is made and the key areas, that the government did not sufficiently deal with, are listed. In addition, there are recommendations and suggestions on which specific measures the government should take in the near future.
