Pregnant woman and doula

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem práce je zjistit a porovnat vztah těhotné ženy a duly a zhodnotit přístup porodních asistentek k dule. Metodika: Praktická část práce je zaměřena na kvantitativní šetření. Pro tuto práci jsou vytvořeny dva dotazníky. Dotazníky jsou anonymní, určeny pro těhotné ženy a pro porodní asistentky. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 300 těhotných žen a 75 porodních asistentek. Dotazník pro těhotné ženy byl rozdáván na ambulancích v porodnicích v Ostravě a Plzni. Dotazník pro porodní asistentky byl určen porodním asistentkám pracující na porodním sále daných porodnic. Výsledky: Šetřením došlo k závěru, že těhotné ženy mají nedostatek znalostí ohledně duly vzhledem k jejich věku a dosaženému vzdělání. Nejméně znalostí vykazují těhotné ženy ve věku 18 - 25 let a ženy, které vystudovaly základní vzdělání. Dále bylo zjištěno, že těhotné ženy nevyužívají služeb duly. Ve výzkumné části jsme dospěli k závěru, že dle názoru porodních asistentek dula není vhodná osoba jakož to doprovod ženy k porodu. Také jsme zjistili, že přístup porodních asistentek k dule na porodním sále se neliší. Porodní asistentky na porodním sále v Ostravě a Plzni mají kladný přístup k dule. Závěr: Z výzkumu vyplývá, že většina těhotných žen má k dule negativní vztah, z důvodu toho, že mají těhotné ženy o dule nedostatečné znalosti a služby duly, nevyhledávají. Z pohledu porodních asistentek svůj přístup k dule na porodním sále popisují jako pozitivní, ale u porodu upřednostňují partnera nikoliv dulu. dula, otec, podpora, těhotenství, porod, Česká asociace dul, Dona International, vzdělávání

Abstract:

Object: The aim of this thesis is to compare the relationship between pregnant women and doula and to describe the approach of the birth asistents to doulas. Methodology: The practical part of the thesis is focused on the qualitative analysis for which two questionnaires were developed. Both were anonymous, one focused on pregnant women and the second one on birth asistens. The sample contains 300 pregnant women and 75 birth asistents. The questionnaires were distributed in maternity hospitals in Ostrava and Plzen, both to pregnant women and to birth asistnets working in these hospitals. Results: The research showed that pregnant women aren?t well informed about doula?s services. The level of knowledge differs through the age and education of the women. The least informed group are women in age of 18-25 years with basic education only. Further the resarch discovered that in most cases pregnat women don?t use advantage of doula services. According to birth asistants using doula isn?t the best way to get the women to labor but in the other hand they describe their relation to doula as positive. This behavoir wasn?t differentiating between Ostrava and Plzen. Closure: Most of the pregnant women keeps negative view on doula mainly because of lack of information. Eventhough birth asistents keeps positive attitude to doulas they still prefer when the partner is present at the birth rather than doula.
