This master's thesis examines code-switching in the book Borderlands/La Frontera: The New Mestiza written by Gloria Anzaldúa. In the theoretical part, it focuses on the language contact, as well as linguistic phenomena typical for the US-Mexico border area. Táto magisterská diplomová práca sa zaoberá zmenami kódov v knihe Borderlands/La Frontera: The New Mestiza, ktorej autorkou je Gloria Anzaldúa. V teoretickej časti sa zameriava na kontakt medzi jazykmi, ako aj jazykovými fenoménmi typickými pre oblasť hranice medzi USA a Mexikom.
